Ready to bud. HELP!!!

DO the plants keep growing while they bud? Mine are about 15" tall and very bushy, with limited space I dont want them getting bigger than 18". I plan on putting them on a 12/12 schedule today but was wondering if they will still grow? All organic fox farm soil and ferts, 400w hps. 4 plants in 3x2 area. Thanks for all the help.

Yes when plants go into the budding stage they can double or sometimes even quadruple in size. But make sure you put them on 18/6 first if you have them on 24/7 now or unless you will put them into shock if you put them into 12/12 without going to 18/6 first if you do have them on 24/7. You dont have to put to 18/6 first you can go straight to 12/12 i would suggest doing it right now if you are worried about height. You can expect most well grown indicas to double in height and sativas to triple in height during flowering. You can slowly bend your branches over to control some of the height. You can do this by softly tying the stems and pulling them over, you can tye them down and bend them more and more just do it slowly so you dont snap the branch. After you get it so far the all the growth will start growing straight towards the light actually giving some of the lower buds more light. This is easy to do hope it helps
