reading conflicting info on how deep to pot seedlings..

Ok, so I have a couple of seedlings that I believe are ready to be potted into their permanent 3 gallon pots. My germination kit has a humidity dome and a light at the top but the seedlings seem to be stretched already.

On thing I read said its ok to plant my osasys cubes a little deeper into the new soil mixture as the stem that gets covered in soil will sprout new roots.

Another article I read said do not plant the top of the cubes below the new soil line as it can cause the stems to rot?

Can anyone shed some light on which is true or the better method?
