This is not to be sarcastic or rude, the fact is many of you don't know how to read the forums so here is a quick tutorial.*
If you have gotten this far I'll assume you understand the basic principals of reading and skip that section.*
Internet Forums:
An Internet forum is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.
Conversations:
A conversation is communication between two or more people. Conversations are the ideal form of communication in some respects, since they allow people with different views on a topic to learn from each other.
Reading the forums:
Forums posts are generally numbered and it is quite easy to tell who posted before who. Also in addition posts are usually stamped with the time the post was made. It's generally important to read all posts prior to posting. Many of you do not do this and end up looking very foolish.*
Example of good communication on a forum:
Person1:
Hello, I'm new to the forums and was interested in learning about scrog. Can anyone help me with my research?
Person2:
Hi welcome to RIU.org! I don't personally know much about scrog but I do know if you go to google and type this in site:rollitup.org scrog you will find a lot of good information. Good luck with your research.
Notice how person2 addressed person1? It was obvious person2 read all of person1's post and responded accordingly. Even though person2 did not have direct knowledge of what person1 wanted they were at least able to help them with a tip on how to conduct some of their research.*
Now that your a little more educated about reading and responding to a post you should turn off your computer and get some exercise.*
