If you have happy and healthy plants then that is their equivalent of you and I stretching with our arms over our heads in the morning....

The plants are actually anticipating the arrival of the sun. Tonight notice that the last 2-3 hours of light your plants will seem to look a bit ragged/tired and exhausted just like you and I at the end of the day. It's true! Watch the top 3 levels of the new big fan leaves to see them a bit froopy and laying more on the leaves below than earlier in the day when they seem to defy gravity.

Plants are cool aren't they?:eyesmoke::peace:

Watch your plants more closely and you can see their every mood...

Thos lights should be 2 inches from the tops of the plants. Reaching or stretching happens when light is too far away or insufficient. Is it when the plant grows in height but does not develop much foliage. If your plants are healthy and growing I wouldn't worry about what you describe. But keep the lights low, and when you go to flower you will need more light. I've grown with an aerogarden.
