RDWC Nutrient Inquiry

If anyone wants to help me cross my Ts and roll my Js, the following are the base and additives for upcoming hydro run. I'm hoping all this works out since I bought in bulk :)

Primary Nutrients Jacks 321:
Jacks Part A 5-12-26
YaraLive Calcinit 15-0-0 [ dissolves better than Jacks ]
Epsom Salt [ Will be attempting 4:3 and dropping Epsom ]

Additives:
MKP Monopotassium phosphate [ will be used at transition and into first week's of flower ]
Agsil 16H Potassium Silicate [ Used throughout veg and flower for Silica ]
Calcium Hypochlorite [ attempting a sterile res ]
Ph up/down

When running Jacks in the past I felt silica was lacking, so added thr Agsil, I also feel I could have pushed bud development and will try with MKP.

Hopefully since using a chiller, I can adjust my temps through grow, reviewing Athena 's dwc guide i found the temp adjustment interesting throughout grow phases.

I've only used GH Floral Trio I've heard jacks 321is good to use. Stay away from organics other than that sounds like you have it covered

"bought in bulk" - same here. 25 pound bags of each and three res changes per grow, two grows per year. At my age 68, the ferts will last longer than I will. :-)

I grow in hydro (1 plant in a res that holds 28 gallons in a 2' x 4' tent) and run 3-2-1 for RO, same formula from drop to chop.

Never wanted to drop the Epsom. The numbers in 3-2-1 chart out really well (you've seen the Excel calculator spreadsheet?)

Silica is a great idea-I think Bugbee does a YouTube short on it and it's in his guide to hydroponic nutrients, as well.

I've always run bennies vs sterile. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Changing res temp? I've always run 68°. Happy medium for DO levels but would be interested in what Athena has found. Based on their YouTube videos, they're evidence-based.

One change I'll be making for my next grow is to send some $$ to Jacks for testing. I haven't had any deficiencies to speak of but I run 0.8 seedling, 1-1.2 in veg, and 1.6 in flower, dropping toward the end, so I'm interested to see if there are any hidden issues. Other than that, Jacks has been excellent.

Oh, yeh, no "bloom boosters" for me.

If you're running a chiller, you've got a fair number of gallons/buckets. (being nosey) What's your setup like?

I've ran Jacks previous and was happy but always looking to improve. 4x 5gal bucks and external res. Waterfall aeration no air stones. Took a lot of inspiration from an old youtuber Mechanical Garden.

I did weekly changes previously and ran bennies, figured if give sterile a try this round.
