there be no controlling " THE PEOPLES PLANT"
Hell, four plants and 20 pounds in the back yard..who needs more? Get a script if that's an issue as well if you need more for any illness as some do...

We keep tellin them but they don't listen and screw everything up as they go..

Oh the shear business of it all lol:bigjoint:

take them and flush them as should be done with them!

Its not the first time people have been fucked over for money eh lol
but easily seen will happen..
We know the market.
We are the market
They can have the crumbs of our market!
No one wants to DEAL with them anyway! ;)

see how far ya get(:
next to ZERO sales for poison sprayed shwag is where it'll be at.
The crumbs of "your" market? who are you El Chapo? lol Sure some LP's will fail, but a shit ton will be good as well. The new system is over all good, the only part that is wack that will fail is the Ontario control of it, but that wont last.

Who cares what the seed companies do and what seeds LP's sell if you're not planning to buy from them anyhow. If any of the current seed companies can cash in they will, that's probably what they originally invested in their business for. If you've invested years and cash into a product and an opportunity to cash in presents itself, you sell, that's called smart business.

I've collected enough (regular photo) genetics to last me a lifetime and create as many strains as I can with the time I have left here. I'll share/give them away to new growers to encourage people to grow their own and do my part to discourage government-controlled pesticide infected weed. But getting down on existing companies that cash in on this is just jealousy and childish.

Sure, the market within Canada is over-saturated, there will be consolidation and failures, as well as some that will make it, likely big or go home the way the market is setup right now and depending on how the smaller player market/rules develop. Growers/smokers/breeders in the current culture can kick and scream all the way, join in the new regime, play the opportunities in the new BM, or just watch it play out. But the new world is not going away, thinking it will is just wishful thinking and foolish.

I just want to add in case it comes across that I do not like this deal, I actually am very happy for rare dank and this deal, this is great for the industry. This is good on rare dank as well, over all good.

I have no issue with the rd deal either. I also agree breeders should absolutely be able to cash in on their hard work as much as possible. I am slightly worried about attempted gene control. I just dont know where all of the new weed customers that these companies are banking on are coming from? Especially with the lesser quality product at significantly higher prices. I just don't see how that is going to kill the underground industry that has always handled the supply.
I have a feeling that all of us in this thread combined could come up with something far better. Instead we are stuck with idiot bureaucrats who know nothing about the thing they always claimed made us criminals, making the decisions. Complete morons. They can't even max out their profit on it because they are so short sighted and greedy.
Cheers :)

Things will change in the seed business, the concerns you have are valid. I can see feminized and autos seeping into the market to the point where regs will be rare and even unavailable at some point. That's why I invested heavily into landrace and classic genetics last year. Enough that I could not possibly use all the combinations in my lifetime. My son will carry on my genetics, and eventually hopefully my grandson.

I have had the thought of a legit cannabis seedbank for quite sometime. We could have a whole bunch growing and saving "heritage" strains just like with produce. I think of the strains we have already lost in my short lifetime :(
Cheers

Who they gonna blame when their LP dreams fail.....Ghostbusters....hahahaha
Dream on Lp's and their loyal follower's. Your rides going to be plenty bumpy after our culture get through with ya.
BOYCOTT folks....they're scared. Desperate too. Don't listen to the morons who come here all giddy for a new life.

There's enough underground sites already to keep regs and genetics going for a long time but yeah many have been lost and/or very difficult to find, particularly in reg form, where you can breed more of them. It'll be a shame if the legal industry waters down or tries to reduce seeds to fems and autos, but it's a likely scenario so I'm not leaving it to chance. Not concerned for my generation, but my grandson's generation may never see some of the classics unless they're saved or re-bred in private collections ;)

Oh excuse me for assuming that by you calling them sell-outs and referring to them as the anti-LP crowds 'hero's', you were not fond of them.
"but you all will be shocked in the next few months, all your Cannabis heros will be selling out and partnering with LP's" .
Just one of many who have come to the realization that they would not survive the next 24 months. Might as well fool the suckers at corporate cannabis into forking over 3/4 of a mil to get them out of the mess. Beats just closing the doors and getting nothing.

i've tried to buy a few landrace strains myself and always buy REGS. if i spend money on seeds, i am going to recreate them and always have backups if i ever lose my favorite pheno.

glad i got my Ghost Train Haze REGS already. great strain, but i would hate to not be able to find a male to breed with.

Yeah for sure, backup packs are always in order, always a male in every hunt :) Have some backup Panama with my keeper female & male that I'll hunt through this year :)

One of the strains that comes to mind is that road kill skunk, real bubblegum, sweet tooth, I do not see pure proper versions of theses strains now a days. a lot more as well.

I like your plan GroErr.....any thing to undermine LP greed and the threat to a way of life we have cultivated. Every little action against them helps...however small.
I think we need some very sticky letter sized posters listing the 23 approved substances on the LP schwaggs. Then we can stick one to their store windows each evening after they close. Nice n sticky so peeling it off the next morning will take some effort. Or a flyer handout on the sidewalk. Just a few quick idea's.
