I do not claim to be an expert. BUT ... I'm pretty sick and tired of hearing the arguments:
"It's not natural: the plant doesn't deal with (insert light, heat, nutrient concentration here) in nature, so it can't be best"
"It just seems like the plant needs to rest in order to grow"
"I feel like blah blah blah blah blah ..."
1. What we do to cannabis is totally unnatural, except for what is necessary to make the plants flower. Do you think hydroponics, aeroponics, chemical fertilizers, topping, LST, HPS, exactly 12/12 days, ~ zero temperature fluctuation, feminized seeds ... are natural?
2. The plant does what it needs to propagate. That is what it has evolved to do. It doesn't give a shit how much THC is in its buds, nor how many crystals/red hairs/purple shit is on the buds. Think about it: the female plant is fucking pissed off because it is not being pollinated, and it can't reproduce. Sinsemilla is exactly against nature's desire, but it's what we want. We can only understand what a plant does in terms of its desire to survive and propagate. No more, no less.
3. The plant doesn't give a shit about what you "think" it wants. It's not a human. It's a fucking plant. It doesn't "need rest" because you do. So stop thinking you're the dude who can creep into a plant's wishes/desires and recreate its fantasies. Stick to what shows results, for chrissake.
4. Different strains of cannabis came from totally different places on this planet, with widely varying weather. Don't you think this will necessitate different conditions for optimal growth and budding? For the love of god, just because dropping a deuce in your organic potting mix helps poop#2 x urinal puck#3 x tootypooty#468, doesn't mean it will work for everyone. And FFS stop being so self-righteous about what is the best thing for all plants.

p.s. if you are running <100W CFL, or <200 really, you need more goddamn light.
