Raining. Making Slits in Stem

I am growing some plants inside and once i get a garden out back i will transplant them. However, we get alot of rain and once they start to flower won' the rain "rinse" the buds of some of their potency? I could always grow them in pots and bring them inside when it rains but i am not sure that is necessary yet.

Another question. My plants started off pretty bad, and now, instead of one main stem they have 2 thin stems, so the plant looks like a Y. So after hearing about making slits to get new branches i decided to give it a try. I made the slits at about a 45 degree angle and about 1/3 or 1/4 of the way in. One plant i made the slit to deep tho. What can i do to help it recover and is making slits a bad idea??

no rain wont wash the thc off. and the more you stress the plant the worse. yes topping can make a plant shorter and bushier, but it wont necesarily increase your total yield.

I don't remember where i heard about making the slits in the stem but its suppose to encourage new branch growth + node sites. I hope they will be okay. If i were to cut a branch, not the stem, instead of super cropping would it sprout another branch Y
And with the rain, even if my plant was a couple days till harvest and there was a heavy rain it won't do any thing to the potency or wash off some trichomes? I am growing sativa and they will prolly be too big for a bucket.

If you are about ready to harvest, more stems from stalk is worthless. One week prior to harvest, or when you think it may be raining TOO much, lay out plastic around the base of each plant so the water will not enter the root system. Read every article possible on properly harvesting & curing. In your case, mold will be a potential major concern. Be prepared. Search web for DIY 'making a homemade dehumidifier, it's really cheap & cool. How do you know the exact time to harvest, it is VERY important if you want prime weed. Your mature sativa better be too big for a bucket. When is your due date, mine is not until Oct.
The cutting of a stem involves one method called air layering. The Chinese has been doing it for 1000's of years, to get clones. I'm going to try in the very near future. I encourage everyone to read about it- just type in 'air layering', and go from there.

My plants had a rough start and they have been growing for about 2 months and a half and still are about a foot. I don't know when my due date is. last year it was about 4months with low yeild. Can mold still grow on the bud when its still growing?

You can do just as good bending the plants over so the grow sideways and more light will get to the lower branches and they will shoot off and form miniture colas. THC is not water soluble therefore it can not wash off, if it did then water curing wouldnt work. You can learn a whole lot from the FAQ section of the website.

Also I'm not sure if its just me but I seem to get more female plants from the ones that I bend and more males from the ones I have topped could just be coincidence though.

You get males form topped plants because stress makes the plant produce male branches. Read up on it. I didn't and now all my plants are male except one weird clone.

that's not true buddy. you can top and fim all day and it will not cause any more males then you would naturally get.

Im just going by experience and what i have read. Its not stress that produces males but too much stress. Maybe different stains act differently.
