Raining again

Another glorious day of no sun, light wind and a bit chilly..

I have lived in and out of Oregon for over 45 years (mostly in) and I simply don't remember a July like this..

that said I usually have lived on the coast where it is a bit more cold and windy, but always there is sun poking through in July..

Is this what it is always like in the Portland area.. I mean maybe not to this degree.. but in general is this pretty much what we get in the summer here?

Sounds so trite living in Oregon and my whining about cloudy days.. but man o man.. it just never seems to stop.. ever.. I have more fingers than I would need to count the 'decent summer days' we have had in their entirety since I relocated here back in end of April.

Heck with plants, I might end up getting a 1000 watt HPS just for ME so I can feel like I am getting some sun..

Just so damn depressing..

i am two days away from hanging some 1000 watters in this fucking greenhouse.

fuck this summer.
I was wondering if anyone was having the problems I imagined they may be.. Some (most?) days it is almost cold enough and dark enough as to me wondering if they would just sit there almost dormant.

Friend of mine has their plants in a little grow house that seem to be doing well. The ones on the left are re-vegging. They had 8 plants under just 400W which in turn didn't get any light to the bottom half, when it came harvest time they decided to cut half of the plants and then try re-vegging. They put a couple in the greenhouse and the others stayed under the 400W just to see which one will reacy better. The ones on the right were started from seed and are doing great.

I don't know your goals in how big you would like your plants but for their own personal use these are good sized, just transplanted to 18 gallon pots so they should [hopefully] be taking off more as well.

Looks like those are gonna get a bit crowded in there especially for being outdoor plants.

The green house is a bit small for the plants, guessing they will be over crowded when they start their flowering stretch, still have about 2 feet to grow abover them though. I told my buddy they should think about training them but they are a grower that doesn't take to other's suggestions too well, would rather just do it their way, no problem with that since it is for their own personal use.
