Rain crystals guerilla grow

Going to be guerilla growing around ten girls in 8 gallon pots this season in NZ. Nourishing the plants with water is going to be my main issue. I have several questions I'd really appreciate being answered.

1) Are rain crystals worth using if watering during a dry summer is a concern?
2) how do I properly use rain crystals? Do I just mix it evenly into the soil when preparing it?
3) Given that I'll be using 8 gallons of soil, how much in grams of rain crystals should I use per 8 gallons?

Thanks for all the help guys!

Yeah I can put in the ground. Thanks for the advice. I don't have a water source near where I'm going to grow, going to haul a lot of water too :p

Lol again highly recommend planting within 100yrds max of water. Come back here and tell me how bad it sucks hauling it if that time comes.

A week ago I thought I saw someone seen me carrying water and I was freaked out, adrenaline rush, running with 6 and 5 gallon buckets, falling down, spilled most of the water. Grabbed a few things, made an escape and hid in a farmers field for 15 minutes till someone picked me up. Joys of guerrilla growing

good job larry a true bush grower a dying art!!
Thanks, That one is on the back 40, so not very well hid. My veg buddy dug out a natural depression in the ground, staked out the tarp and covered with leaves. It doesn't hold as much water as mine, but you can't see it. Just looks like a puddle of water.
