well this goes way back to when i had a garden on the side of my house full of corn, green beans, cucumber, and a bunch of other crap(not literally). we had 6 rabbits and my dad would say that the crap was really good for ferts, and we basically didnt give them anything else.

can i put some in my soil mix to make it better?

hmmm.... you better get a definitive answer on this before you go messing with your LADIE$$$$$$$.. :)

Did you guys actually dig in the rabbit pellets? or did they just sit on top and decomposs..?

I have heard that animals that eat PLANTS and not meat are the animals that produce good POOP... poop that can be used for fertilizer... not sure if that is true..

but I know that cow poop and chicken poop make great fertilizer.. and beecause the fertilizer is organic.. it is much harder for it to burn your plants...

Bat guano is considered good fertilizer.. I think bats eat insects.. primarily... hmmmm

depends on the bat for its diet some eat insects some like fruit and yeah tbere are a few that like blood. Don't know what is generally used for bat guano

I did look up your question about using rabbit poop as a fertilizer looks like it might be good N-P-K of 2.4 - 1.4- .6 could be good in the vegetative stage.

Here is a link so you can review the data yourself.

and uhh as gross as this might be if you were a vegetarian your poop would be a great fertilizer too- lol

we would just shovel the pellets into a wheel barrow and and set it on tob of the soil then rototill(sp?) it in a day or two after

make sure you cook it to 160 f for an hour to kill any bacteria or grass/garden weed seeds before using any premade or homemade soil for that matter
