I know you've described them very well, but saying something something is more JTR dominant doesnt mean anything to beginners. I'm sure within 20 seeds many people will be fairly experienced in recognizing growth patterns and labeling dominant parent traits, but many other people dont. If it wasnt a federal crime to grow cannabis many of us would have overrun our house by now, just out of sheer curiosity and phenotype searching. Since the strains ARE being grown in mass, I think its only fair to try and share that knowledge (this includes pictures, write ups on strains with links to parental lineage including pictures, etc), as we are all fighting against the same federal limitations and social stigmas in our quest for dank.

Start it up!

Life is a Do-ocracy. Others who appreciate what you do will contribute accordingly.

It is that simple :-)

2 months from now and I will. lease ends july 1st so I need to locate a new place.

that being said, I'll require proofreadin by you growers, and I've only got 3 strains, that I'll probably run 1 at a time to test.

Right on. I look forward to it.

Cheers!

He's talking about the original Bubba (A NL Pheno) in the video not the Bubba Kush brother.

This answers my question..thank you!

I guess my confusion came when swerve says that the original bubba (NL pheno) is what people are calling the pre-98 cut, which he claims was killed off years ago.

I think it's a worthy project. The strain descriptions are good but it couldn't hurt to have a little more info on the different phenos you might end up with. I've got two apollo phenos -- one is more indica dominant with white pistils, foxtail buds, higher yields and a shorter flower time. The other is more sativa dominant with off-white-slightly orange-ish pistils on more spear shaped buds, taller and an extra 1-2 weeks flower time. From early samples it looks like the sativa may be the more desirable high but won't know for sure til after a couple of flowers and real dries/cures.

I guess what we should do is just make a Grow/smoke report. Hovering, your Green queen x JTR was kind of what got me thinking about it. The last post with the 3 bud pics + yeild breakdowns was super nice, all I would include is probably a pic at 2 weeks, at start of 12/12 (plus fan leaf shape pic), and maybe 4-5 weeks in to flower for mid flower identification.

exactly what i was waiting to say as i read the last page. what your describing is a detailed smoke/grow report instead of this crap most ppl post on this site some titles say uncured smoke report...really dude? you wanted to brag that bad you couldnt wait a few weeks to give useful information?? and other reports are just minimalistic i dont get the point. if someone finds your report its because they want information before growing a strain so that means if your going to write a report make it detailed!! here is a great example of a properly done report https://www.rollitup.org/smoke-reports/523547-paradise-whiteberry-grow-smoke-report.html ...its mine of course :D check out best pic 2!! unfortunately it wasnt tga but thats next either plush or querkle not sure yet..the qush looks super green but theirs also another new bubba strain as well on attitude so which is better is what im wondering!

Personally the smoke report is nt of utmost importance to me, because everyones going to enjoy the smoke off of different phenos in a diff way. also, everyones cure method is a little different, so post cure I think is what causes a lot of flavor variance etc. The only reason I think a smoke report would be necessary is so we can identify the attributes of the parent plants, and thus get a better picture of the "full spectrum" of product a single hybrid can produce.

good point didnt think of that..idk i think subs descriptions show the couple phenos to look for and its all about understanding him lol..you have to grow a round to see the variances and understand what he means. the only person that can do a grow report with the parents is sub himself..but he uses the same male in a few projects and describes its attributes in a few different places as well as usually saying what hes trying to bring from the female in the descriptions...i guess i think a full spectrum of any strain is going to also contain some phenos you would just rather pass on and not even include.

Obviously we're not going to get direct representation of the parent plants, but it should at least help the beginning pheno searcher connect certain traits to each parent (and grandparent if known). The first step is the hardest, once you make those rudimentary connections, I feel its much easier to classify other things such as smell taste etc.

I'd Like to see a pre 98 bubba kush x querkle from tga. Any plans in the future Sub? I also took advantage of the 420 promo and grabbed a 10 pack of ripped bubba and the free qush, I'm planning on doing a breeding project to make the best bubba hybrid. Using these 15 and regulator kush from TCC. I did a similar breed with plush berry and ace of spades to find the best purple hybrid, I've got a purple plush pheno x ace of spades bcs Dom male thats in veg and a ace of spades x og that I made that really smells amazing. Just to name a few

you don't have to look very far bro, it is in the testing phase right here in sub's forum!

Just to dispel any rumors this is not a potential cross were just having a look around I do not expect this to ever become a TGA strain.

Were outa 8 main line strains and thats our focus.
I'm not about to work on new crosses when I'm outa A-13 BX and Qleaner

I would like to thank you Subcool. I just love the bubba dominant pheno! Dank, Dank, Dank!!

The one I got out of it tastes just like the original Pre-98 Bubba Kush with improvements in taste and aroma. The space queen cross to the pre-98 bubba kush has added a nice lemon hint to the smell and taste as well as adding color. Definitely has old school characteristics. Taste, smell, buzz, all old school.

I like it when I smoke a joint and it takes a good ten minutes or so before fully feeling the effects. I just can't stop smoking it! :bigjoint: Somebody please hide the keys to my stash box!! LOL

The live one in the bucket is the pheno I am keeping, after flipping to 12/12 there was hardly any stretch. This one produced very dense heavy buds.
The one I am holding (upside down) was the taller pheno.

Shorter bubba dominant pheno buds.

The buds in the jar are set for curing. Will be ready to enjoy on the 4th of July!

Thanks again Subcool for another awesome strain! :weed:

Okay, so now the Qush has been harvested and properly dried.

I sat and sampled some of the bud from the shorter pheno with one of my patients. We have come to the conclusion that the shorter pheno Qush is by far the best we have smoked since the Medical Marijuana law was enacted here in Michigan (2008-09). This is in reference to potency and quality of buzz, it is the best we have tried.

Way to go Subcool!!

I am very eager to see how the clones come out. I sure hope they hold on to the fine qualities that I have come to enjoy of the original seed plant.

Next.... SpaceDawg

im pretty sure clones are a near exact representation of the plant they were taken from barring any changes in growing condition from the first generation to the clone....

Typically yes, they are a near exact representation of the original seed plant. However, there are instances where the clone plant produces more than subtle differences without any changes in medium, nutrients, or lighting. These differences are not always negative.

For instance, say the seed plant had 11 blades on the fan leaves. The clone from that plant may only produce 9 blades. Also, there will surely be a difference in the plants structure. The clone plant nodes will be stepped rather than even or side by side. I have yet to see a clone where the nodes were side by side along the stalk. They have always been stepped.

Now, the clones taken from a clone plant has always remained the same for me. I have one strain that I have been growing for 8 years now where I have been taking cuttings from cuttings. I do not keep "mother" plants. I just keep taking fresh cuttings from clones during vegetative growth.

The only negative issue I have come across with clones from a seeded plant is with the taste or flavor being altered. Sometimes positive differences, sometimes negative.

With the Qush I am not too concerned with the flavor. Its best quality to me is the super creeper buzz. Best creeper I have ever had.

well this particular example is simply a matter of maturity...all plants will begin to exhibit this at a certain age..
