used to not mind long trim sessions.. hate em now. totally understand the want for machines, but i'm still old school.
i try to cycle my stuff so it's not all at once though, easier trimming, but more of a PITA while growing.

i read the moral of this thread; create a trimmer that doesn't beat the buds to shit, and gives a nice -hand looking- finished product.
..that's where the real money is :D ;) good luck though

I didn't watch that video, but if you want to see really nice looking nugs trimmed up with that machine check out backyard.farming 's page on instagram. That guy is a buddy of mine and he's an incredible grower and horticulturalist. Honestly, he's at the top of the foodchain in this industry and he recommended it to me which he wouldn't have if it sucked.

The Greenbroz trimmer is gentler on nugs than almost any other trimmer. You do loose some trichs, but it's not noticable. I haven't had a single complaint since I started using it. And I've had my weed hand trimmed for years and it's not like you don't loose trichs hand-trimming unless you trim every nug by the little stem which nobody does. My trimmers get a nice ball of hash from their fingers and scissors everyday. The hash on the machine is comparable to the amount my trimmers get from hand-trimming when comparing equal weights.

Here's the main thing though. I'm prepping for legalization. I grow straight in the ground and use bulk organic amendments. I've got a ton of Ag land and an investor lined-up who already has a storefront and I'm getting ready for the day lbs are going for $100-$200. There's no way you're going to be able to afford hand trimming when lbs are $200 max. And if I'm selling lbs of good organic tropical greenhouse grown cannabis for $200 max, how much do you think people are going to be willing to spend on "boutique" hand-trimmed weed? Everybody that wants to stay in this game is going to have to adapt or find a different job. I'm going to adapt. I think I'm also going to start growing heirloom tomatoes because I believe they'll be more profitable than weed in the not-to-distant future, ha ha!

And no offense meant to you BigHornBuds, you seem like a cool dude

At first I was like, "What the f*ck is The Hippy doing posting in this thread? Shouldn't he be off bitching about LP weed somewhere?" Then I saw that I accidentally posted in the "Canadian Patients" subforum. Had I known that beforehand I wouldn't have posted just to avoid your incessant whining. Honestly, if you represented Canada I would tell my kids, friends, family, distant family, business associates, pets, the Jehovah's Witnesses that come around once in awhile, etc. to avoid Canada at all costs. It would go something like this:

Me: Now kids, listen, don't ever go to f*cking Canada, okay?

    Kids: Why daddy?

Me: Well, because I love you and because there's people there that refer to themselves as "The Hippy" and-

    Kids: Why daddy?

Me: Well, probably because they're too stupid to realize that they don't need to use a definite article when they're referring to themselves, now don't interrupt, I'm trying to tell you something important, okay?

    Kids: Okay daddy

Me: Anyway, these "The Hippy's" just sit around all day everyday complaining on the internet about shitty LP weed and-

Kids: Why don't they just grow their own weed? And grow it better than the LP's and sell it for the same price or even cheaper than the LP's and have their own nice little niche market so they would have literally nothing to complain about?

Me: Well, probably because they suck at growing weed and even if they could grow decent weed they are too lazy to put in the time to do it anyway and really you don't need that kind of influence on you. Nobody does.

Kids: Ooooh, so we shouldn't go to Canada because the "The Hippy's" there are whiny, stupid and lazy?

Me: That's correct! There you go kids! I knew you'd catch on! You are definitely not the "The Hippy's".

And everybody lived happily ever after except the "The Hippy's"

It's a touching story really, you know, if you think about it.

Please refer to my previous post. In spite of your assumptions and ignorance that machine doesn't make "baldy buds" (jeeze, vocab much?). Check out backyard.farming 's page on IG if you want to see what nice buds you can get from that machine. And the big Greenbroz trimmer can do 50-75 lbs per day.

Hand-trim all you want. If you do this for a living I'll be putting you out of business. Honestly, if you ever come to Maui, hit me up. I'll hook you up with some buds and you will have nothing to complain about

Garanz braddah! If international shipping is an option in the future, which I assume it will be, I'll send you some for market value plus customs duty or whatever scheme they come up with to make some money off of it.

You must be kinda dim witted eh? Eh is Canadian for "right"....duh is american for " hey listen to me"
You don't need eye's to see if you relentlessly roll buds around in a machine the trichs fall off. That's only common sense DUH! That's not hard to imagine is it? Not to mention they end up "bald" and hairless. I've seen that kind of weed. I'm sure the folks you sell it too don't know any better. Other wise why buy your schwgg. Try that with some simple object you understand better. Maybe a tennis ball rolled in sugar will be a good example for you. Try it...it's only one object to keep track of.
You don't need to roll out the red carpet for me either Mary. I won't be visiting your county any time in the future. Any people stupid enought to elect Dom Trumpio deserve themselve unto themselves. You enjoy your maui outdoor bug weed. We once used to buy that here...before Canada taught itself to grow. You should try growing in this country!
You should stick to sitcom's like the one above you wrote.
You obviously know zero about Canada and we like it that way. Just ignore us up here if you would. Nothing to see here. You wanna build a wall......feel free to use our border and I'd help pay. Because as much as you don't want the Mexicans getting into your country....we feel that way about you people. You want to measure dumb...do it in merica. It's sad the way america has become the Circus joke of the world. Who else would elect a clown? You did one thing right....open up some states to legal weed...clap.
I'll leave your kids out of it.
Sorry if you were insulted over your trimming process.
Stick to where you normally lurk....Canada is too complicated for you. You basically know fuck all about the situation here I can see. Stick to telling the rest of the world how to " do it" See if they listen either.

You didn't watch it but can comment anyway. You must be an idiot savant.
Sorry did I rain on your buddies business.
    Hand triming = First Place
Machine triming = 2nd place...nothing wrong coming in second.

If I needed a trimmer...i'd already have one. Especially if i was growing large amounts...glad I'm not.

I wasn't trying to insult folks who use trimmers. If I needed one i'd have one. Just saying hand trimming is the best. That video was rather eye opening to me. It explains a lot of the weed ya see. Some folks think that's what it's supposed to look like like.

Yea, I hand trim and hate it too. It makes for a long week, or less if I only have 2 plants instead of 3.
I usually trim off one branch then take a break. Head down and arms out can wreak havoc on my cervical stenosis. Last time a trimmed the plants while they were still hanging, it was a bit easier.
