Quick question - Drying bud

nope.
i got a small cool mist humidifier, a humidistat (like a thermostat, but works on relative humidity) and a fan on a timer. hooked the humidifier to the humidistat, set it to 65%. the fan kicks on for 15 minutes every two hours, just to keep fresh air in the room. it takes at least 5 days to dry enough to put it in jars, longer if i have a lot, or they're extra fat.
you need to give it enough time for the chlorophyll, sugars and carbohydrates to break down. if you dry too fast, they won't have time, and will make your weed harsh and bad tasting.

go read that, then read the whole rest of that forum ....

you can do that if the humidity is right. mine is way to low to open hang, it'll get crispy in a couple of days
It says he is Uk, our country is great for drying weed indoors. As long as air is exchanging humidity is not so much a concern. Drying a big bud in a couple of days is impossible to me, cut through the middle i doubt it has shrunk in size and lost 75% of its water in such a short space of time.

If it does your supermarkets must struggle to keep fresh fruit and veg for more than a day...

My rh is less than 25% in the winter, buds drying to fast is a problem for me
These are plant cells, they dont dry like clothes on a washing line and mainly its heat not humidity that causes drying as stuff will dry in higher humidities as long as there is air exchange.

If humidity indoors is 25% then id lower air exchange or contain slightly more.

Again said that if bud dries that quick it must be hard for supermarkets in your area to stock fresh fruit and veg because its the same situation.

the supermarkets in my area are huge climate controlled monsters, it makes absolutely no difference what the outside rh is, inside the store its 72F and 50%rh, forever

and while plants are not sheets, lower rh makes things dry faster.
i keep it at 40% rh in my house, and run a cool mist humidifier in my veg tent to keep it about 60% rh in there. the flower tent gets down to about 35% rh, which is lower than i like, but i know i'm not going to get pm or bud rot.
i use a small enclosed area to dry in, it stays about 72F, i keep it at 65% rh, and have a fan that changes the air out every 2 hours. it works for me, i get good smelling, good tasting weed, that burns nice. if i tried open air drying, i'd get dry, harsh, crappy tasting weed. i know this, because i tried it first, thats why i went to the trouble of getting the humidistat and all that
