Quick Question about water and nutes

i've read and seen where people say like, add a tsp epsom or molasses to a gallon of water...ok so my question is...how much of the gallon do you use to water the plant? I normally use like 2 glasses (44oz glass) for each watering...sould i use the whole gallon? they are in 2.5 gallon pots ..it will run out the bottom when pouring the 2nd glass in.

I try to saturate the pot when watering. enough to get a good amount of runoff. A whole gallon for a 2.5gal pot sounds a little overkill. Waste of nutes and water.

WTXmale, its more or less "feeling your way or instinct" on the watering bit, but if you see run out the first water then consider that the starting point. Make note of the weight, after that go by "feel". What I mean by "feel" is literally lift the pot up and make a mental note of how heavy it is. Wait at least 3-4 day (if not longer depending on how big and room conditions) and then refeed. MORE IS NOT BETTER. Remember, this is a WEED so it thrives and is expected to go into semi drought conditions. Over-watering/nutes is only going to harbor possible root rot, fungus, spider mites, etc. Not good no matter what. Obviously HotRodHarley knows more that me, but I have learned quite a bit in a year of INTENSE trial and error.

IDK the comments I will get on this one, but I personally use one gallon or less, every 3-5 days outdoors for TWO five gallon pots.
