Quick Question About My New Air Cooled Hood???

I just bought two 6 inch air cooled reflectors they are 26"x26" HUGE and I got them super cheap on eBay,my one question is I noticed my bulb is only 12" long and the housing and reflector are 14 inches longer will the hood distribute the light with the reflector being so much longer than the bulb?? I know this is prolly considered a dumb question by many but I'm too old to worry about that lol. Currently my bat wing is barely longer than the bulb it's why I ask. Thanks all in advance

Yes, the light will bounce off the entire reflector. If you want to, they make socket extenders you could use so the bulb is closer to the center of the hood. http://www.buylighting.com/E39-Mogul-Base-Socket-Extension-p/mogtomog.htm

Thanks much think just one of the extenders would work or use two?? I also don't want to create a fire hazard either lol

I don't think it will create a fire hazard since thier designed to do what you want to do. It says one will extend it about 2.25" so it's up to you how much you want the bulb pushed out. You could probably connect 3, 4 or more if you want without a problem.
