indoor growing my 5 seedlings have prouted using a 150 w bright white lightbulb cfl.. while my metatl halide dimmable ballast gets here, they thing is they are growing tall.. just one week old and leaves too. but how do i make a co2 generator cant afford to buy it something aefficient that would do about 6 plants in a 5x2x10 how can i go about making enough co2 for them how can i measure the co2 in the air and how do i make enough for my room guys?

I use a 5 gallon water jug with an airlock on the top. 1 bag of sugar 1 packet of yeast and warm water. Try to keep the light out and the airlock keeps the fresh air out. The yeast will work better and survive longer. Your local wine shop should have airlocks for like a buck or 2 for multiple size containers.

why an airlock? isnt it supped to be open in the grow room?

He is referring to a simple "CO2 machine" in the form of a yeast grow.

The "air lock", as he said, keeps fresh air out of the container while
letting CO2 from the yeast escape.

P.S. As to why to do this...either to maintain a high CO2 env for the yeast,
or to keep contaminant organisms out, I am guessing.
