Heyo, finally moved up here, and was wondering what the process of getting a mmj card was like.. of course I googled it, and found a few places that say call and set up an appt with the Dr, blah blah blah, but still wasnt sure on the process, costs, eligibility, etc etc, any info would be great, thanks.
Knox county area if that helps

There are clinics where you don't need to see a Dr. I think PA's can issue cards. Look at places like Canna Care in Biddeford

Recreational cannabis is $50 1/8th + 15.5% tax (Mass was 25% tax)
Medicinal cannabis is $25 1/8th no tax (can be found using weedmaps.com for $99-125oz delivered in 20min in York county)

I used cannacare telemedicine. Cost $50 and you pick the date & time they call you. https://cannacaredocs.com/telemedicine-me/

Took about 20min to complete the online sign up. Would of took 10min but I entered as much detail as I could about the flower I was currently smoking. You dont need to do that.

The only hiccup I noticed is that they require you to upload a document that details the reason for your request. I opened notepad and wrote down why I was requesting a weed card (depression/anxiety) and that I was already smoking it and it was helping but the rec weed prices were to high.
Once I uploaded the document I was able to complete the sign up process.

The nurse practitioner (think she was out of bangor) called me on the time I selected when I signed up. She didnt say a word other than the card will arrive in the next few days, and it did.

I think most people who go to rec shops dont smoke super often, and thus aren't using it as 'medicine', so most of the product is more than sufficient.
If you're a chronic smoker, or a patient, you obviously hit black market or med shops
