yes im aware of this...i grow outdoors annually...but when ever i get clones there still in veg state and there all ready about 2-3 feet tall...most plants do not "strech" during flowering..they do all they growing during vegging and produce the buds when flowering...my plant currently has many leaves on it..but aint growing in height...so im just wondering if it has something to do with wattage...

Yes, low wattage will limit the size of the plant. That's why people don't just grow under 1 25w cfl. But it should be fine to get you through until you're outside.

And I don't know about your plants, but mine certainly stretched while flowering...a lot. They got much taller while producing buds at the same time:leaf:

well obviously they grow during flowering..but its basically only becuase the buds are being produced and the calyx are begin to grow..it looks more bigger when its flowering but thats only because its growing buds on it..i kno it grows but they dont "strech"...mine grow like crazy during vegging state but when flwoering comes..its opens up more nd produces buds...evryones got their owns opinons...thanks for the help and i kno u not supposed to grow under 1 25 cfl..but im a outdoor grower this is just a test..

I'm fairly certain you have more experience with this than me, but I had a plant with very close node spacing that ended up stretching to the point where the nodes were over an inch apart. I didn't have the plants any farther from the light, the one just decided it wanted to reach for the heavens (or my hps...). It really isn't just because the calyxes have grown that it gets the appearance of stretching, the space between nodes did physically increase during 12/12.

I'm sure you know your shit, and I'm not trying to prove you wrong, I'm just recounting I have witnessed for myself. Personally, I think one cfl is enough to veg one plant, at least enough to veg it until you can put it outside. Good luck with your grow:leaf:

Some strains will stretch more than others when you put them into flowering. And to avoid your plants from stretching too much, its best to gradually reduce the hours when you switch. Like over a week to go from 18/6 to 12/12.
