quick ph question

ok i am sure this has been asked many times, so hopefully i can get a quick reply. I am currently using a waterfarm and my ph will go from around 5.5 to 6.5. within a day to two days. Is this normal? i check the ph every other day and it is always at or around 6.5 anybody know why it is doing this and how i can keep it from fluctuating so much? The water temp stays at around 23 to 25 C.

Hi, I'm on my first DWC grow. These are some things I have learnt that are helping me.

Your water is a little warm. Ideally you want to keep it at 19c to avoid mold problems.

Your using Tap water?

The PH will raise over time. The bigger your rez the longer you can leave it.
I have a 25Liter Rez and adjust every day, it usually rises by about 0.2 in 24 hours. Once the PH starts falling, it's time to change you Rez out completely.

Keep you Rez Temp steady and low 18 - 20c is perfect.
Use a Fertilizer designed for recirculation systems, these have better PH buffers.

Keep a close eye on PH, sudden and unexpected fluctuations can be indicators that something is wrong.

so i was wondering if there is anyway to keep it from fluctuating so much but i guess not. Ok i usually check it atleast once a day. Thanks.

I agree with earl i check my ph twice a day as well, also check roots and make sure they are good. I had a case of root rot and it caused ph fluctuations.
