Quick lighitng question

Hi i just want to know would a 70w MH bulb work in my 70w HPS light fitting.

Per haps. I put a 1000 watt mh bulb in a 1000 watt hps ballast.

NO.Hps and mh ballasts are not the same.OPH

smoe are compatible with each other.....find your ballasts user manual and find out

Only if it is a switchable ballast.If you have a mh ballast you can buy convertion bulbs that will work with the same ballast.OPH

i do this all the time. many argue and say it can't be done.

hmm.... sooooo i could just get an ordinary 70w MH with an ES fitting jam it in and it should work?

Yay. Is there any where that sell a 70w bulb for less then £15 to the uk?

mh ---> in hps works just fine

hps ---> in mh will not fire

Well i would appear that the MH I bought didnt work. .

damn man. you must be high. unless you know don't just screw it in. these people are idiots. Man unless it says its switchable witch no 70 watt ballast will be then don't do it. your light is not switchable!!!!!!!!! Trust me man. you could cause a fire and kill someone not even involved. these people are idiots. somebody back me up!!!!
