Quick Help with multiple deficiency problems in veg before it gets out of hand??

Just wanted to update.

Here are some pics. This is going on the 2nd day since the flushing, but these girls are just looking sad. Cubes are still wet though. Leaves seem to be MUCH droopier now but only on the ones that have really purple stems. Growth seems pretty slow as i havent seen a whole lot since the flushing.

What are your thoughts on these updated pics? Stay the course and let the cubes dry a little more?? they just look sad to me.

Yup, keep it going. They look fine, let them dry out. I would think that by tomorrow they would be getting pretty damned dry?

Hope so! but i dont honestly think they will be. i can pick them up now and lightly press the cube and water pours our the bottom. ????

Overferting is causing the necrotic spots on the leaves. The weird twisting and curling on your leaves is from your pH getting out of wack and fluctuating.

All should be on track now, but think i am going to get another table and spread them out tomorrow in hopes they will dry cause its been 2 days with no water and 75f temps and they are still pretty damn wet. Does the ph in water go up as it sits?

Depends on what your plant wants. I kinda notice that when pH rises, they are drinking more nutes than water. When pH drops, they are drinking more water than nutes and you need to add more fresh water. pH spiking down can also be a sign of root rot as well though.

Good to know. Gonna write that one down!

Decided that i would put my extra 70pint dehumidifier in there tonight and see if that can help pull some moisture out of those cubes. Its doubtful, but cant hurt. Humidity is still pretty good. got the humidistat set to 50 so we will see.

You should be able to tell by the squishy-ness of them and how heavy they are to as when you need to water them. Rockwool is a bitch to get dry if its too saturated. Good luck man!

Also, if you have a personal fan you can point at the cubes, that might help a bit.

You got nothing to worry about. They are going to dry out. If it takes a week, it takes a week. It is what it is, but your plants are doing well. They weren't THAT jacked up to start with, just overfed so stop worrying about them so much.

They don't even look "sad" in the pictures. A little droopy, but overall I'd say they look 90% just fine.

LMFAO!!!! well. if i have to admit, i am a bit OCD.. especially when it comes to my girls... and if i am being honest, probably a little too sensitive to a slight change or something just a little off (hypochondriac??)! lol Taking a breath and will update with more pics in a few.!!

Starting day 3 post flush. Girls still a little Droopy, maybe a little more than yesterday, but definitely think the color is getting better. Not sure about the "wrinkled" new growth - could be a little better, but definitely not worse! I am guessing that once these cubes dry a little more, and we put some nutes back in these girls should perk right back up!

The rockwool cubes are definitely MUCH better than yesterday. compressing them (just a little) doesnt make water poor out the bottom now! Tomorrow i think SHOULD be the day for a little water with nutes. ??

On a side note, got a larger table today and going to make that my permanent veg home. Should allow me to spread the girls more, give them more room to breathe and dry out a little better.

Wait until they are really light when you pick them up. We are certain that they aren't underwatered so don't worry too much. They feel like paper when they are BONE dry. When they finally get to the point you want to start watering once a day, 1/2 way up the cube for 5 minutes with ~200ppm of nutrients at this size. PH should be about 6.0 and maybe a touch of Cal Mag if you're using RO water.

The key though is to wait until they are pretty dry and then make sure not to water too much. Once they get a little bigger and the roots start filling those cubes you'll work your way up to 2 or 3 times a day for 15 minutes each time, but they will be much bigger when you get to that point.

i handwater with a pump and wand. I could just give them a good 5-7 sec hit??

Everything is looking about the same as yesterday. Check the pics, but the leafs are feeling odd.

They are very "paper" like. Soft and almost velvety. They feel dry.

However, the cubes are still wet. if we were going off just the cubes, i would say they can go a day.

What you think?

Just let them go....let the cubes dry out. You can't do anything until they do. The stems are still deep purple and the plants are still working on recovery. Once they dry out and you can start feeding with light nutrients at a proper ph (you should make sure to calibrate your ph meter at this time BTW.) they WILL return to greatness.

They really aren't that bad, you caught that something was wrong pretty early. They are still really green and happy/healthy, they just need some oxygen in those roots and they need to get on a "softer" diet sorta speak. The more you let them dry out at this point though, the better. Even if the leaves are still turning a little uglier, we don't want oversaturated cubes, there's just nothing that can be done but to wait for them to dry out. Those plants are still pretty small so they aren't going to drink that water, it pretty much has to evaporate. Is your growroom particularly cold?

Oh man, I thought that these were 4x4 rockwool cubes. Those 6x6 cubes can take a while to dry out.

To me the pictures look like they are getting better and better already. The first pics look more overfed than the current ones and they are growing.

yeah.. 6x6. I think next time i might go 4x4 and see how that goes. maybe would be a little better for girls this size.

I was thinking those stems seemed really purple! Will those turn green once the nitrogen is depleted a little more?

Yeah.. i actually just went out and check and they are STILL pretty wet!! i keep temps around 65-67 at night, and about 72-75 during the day. Should i up the temps a bit to assist in drying?

If you can raise the temps a little it might help, but DAMN those 6x6's hold a lot of moisture. I'm trying to think of something that could wick the moisture out, but I have nothing that I would consider safe. Maybe rice? Haha.
