Quick Genetics Question re backcrossing

I recently pollinated an F1 with one of the parents, IE F1(strainA x strainB) pollinated with B.

If I understand correctly, the progeny be a backcross1. What can I expect from a BC1? Will there be a lot of variability? Both parents are from stable IBLs.

I'm very new to chucking and there's so much to learn, so any information is greatly appreciated.(sorry if this is a common question)

Thanks again

What you're doing is called line breeding. By back-crossing, what you're doing is increasing the genetic influence of B.

Example: Sativa x Indica

F1: hybrid 50% Indica, 50% Sativa

F1 x Indica = LB1: 25% Sativa 75%Indica
