Quick cloning qeuestion??

So I'm trying to learn how to clone, and i read a guide here ( https://www.rollitup.org/3601-post1.html ) I pretty much got it except one part. It says "normally you would remove it dip it in powder and stick it in a rocwool cube. This time you will be leaving it in water until the cutting has roots and is strong enough to support itself." Is it saying that i just leave it in the water, and don't dip it in any kind of powder or put anything in the water? Also how long does it take to grow roots? Thank you guys

get a dome of somekind, what can be airtight get some peat blocks,rooting powder and a spray bottle.
cut your clones.
then dip and leave in water.
then after you have cut all your clones.
take from the water and dip in rooting powder.
then put in a peat block/soil/rockwool cube"damp not too wet"
then put in a clear sealed container.
give 24/0 light"flos" and spray every day.
then you should have roots after 7 to 11 days.
with it been warmer at the moment i havent been doing mine under lights ive just been leaving my dome"£1 from £1 shop" on my windowsill"indoors".
ive been getting 9 of 10 every go.
but if its your 1st go at cloning cut double you want in case half dont take.
