Questions on coir brick rehydration ????

First time with this medium How long appx, does it take 3lb to rehydrate in cold water, and how long will it last in the bucket without being used ? regards

add to correct amount of water that a 3 pound brick needs ph'd to 5.7 with cal mag at 200ppm let it hydrate and its good to go .

some people might say add veg nutes .

This is pretty solid advice.

The calmag helps to buffer the coco.

Once hydrated it will stay that way for a pretty long time.

It can dry out and be recharged if needs be.


I would be "some" that novice is talking about and I would also add a small mix of nutes too.
