Questions on Auto's.

I have over 10 years of experience but I have never read up on or know much about autoflowering seeds. I wanted to try them but I have a few questions first. From what I understand the plant will start flowering on its own regardless of lights. This allows you to flower them with longer periods of light on. I get that, but can you clone autos or do you have to constantly purchase seeds? If that is the case I don't see how it would be cost effective to grow them. All help is appreciated.

unproductive to clone clone is same age as parent
1 auto fem seed 10 bucks
1 bottle of colloidal silver 30+ ppm $6-20
apply cs at preflower 1 time a day to the branch you wish to force to revert back to male
spray leaves top and bottom of this branch
do this once a day for 1-2 weeks

collect pollen sacks right before they pop or just let them do its thing
and you will have possibly 100's of fem seeds
why clone when you can just start from seed
a photoperiod will never grow at the speed a autoflower does they just cant keep up
