Questions noob

-Is ventilation a major concern for plant growth?

-Does Nutrients/Food have a major effect on the buds?

-Type/# CFL lights for PC Stealth grow

Just running through my mind

with out ventilation your plants wont be provided with fresh air/co2 .. how would you feel ..

also tempetures can get out of controle .. and in flowering they WILL !! stink ..
so unless your want to smell your plants going up your driveway you need a carbon filter on the outtake ventilation ..



nutriens is the food for the plants .. sure a plant could grown in cheap dirt and with no nutriens added .. but its like you liveing on nudels alone ..

CLF .. get as high watt as possible (minimum 23W)
in the right color/kelvin = 5000-6500K for Veg (early grow) and 2700-3000 for flowering ..
tho mix em up a bit .. just more of the other ..

but if your on a budget .. just get a few 5000K and a few 2700K from start to finish ..

here is a nice example for a small cheap grow box that could work nicely for a few autos if you dont expect hugh yields ..




use a nice PC or bathroom ventilation or two on top .. to pull old/hot air/co2 out the box ..
then it just need a few holes at the bottom for a passiv intake ..

and a small clip on fan in ther would also be nice .. for air circulation and to strenge the plant steams ..

remember .. what we are trying to do.. is copy nature inside .. need air and wind .. fresh co2 .. water and food and a grow medium that fit it (weed like light airy soil with good drain and a PH of 6-7) and of course light .. lots of light .. sun provide 10K Lumens per sq ft. at clear sunny summer days .. a 23W provide sumthing like 1K .. 2 inch`s away .. and wont provide enough light after 10 Inch`s

Ventilation = Brings in fresh CO2, a breeze makes the plants stronger

Nutrients = Yes they are important, but it will grow with just straight from tap (I use nutr. ph down and let the water stand in dark for 48 hours to get rid of clorine)

The biggest increase in size I've seen is using Final Phase to flush - Gets salt off roots in soil then the buds swell and grow to 1/5 bigger in last 14 days.

I use Boost, Big Bud, Humbolt Honey, and Bud Candy during flowering - HOWEVER, I have no idea how well this stuff works - I do get great tasting herb with a good kick.

Keep your recipie simple as possible - Don't buy everything one company sells and use it. Reason, Some companies have a TON of stuff to use and if you ask them they would recomment you use ALL their stuff. It's overkill so don't get carried away.

I use a combo of LED, CFL, and HPS during flowering. CFL = You can pay a lot or a little - I got 23W CFL's for 25 cents a piece at a 99 cent store - Been using them with great success for 3 yrs.

Im growing in a 7in wide 1.5 tall PC case lol i dont know if it would work but minimum equipment for a decent yield? i seen in this forum alot of PC stealth grows that have decent yields any ideas?

yea about nutriens .. keep it simple ..

add stuff as you go along .. or you will never know what curse problems if you get some .. and you proberbly will at some point ..

maybe get a small nutriens start kit to fit soil/terra or what ever grow medium you choose ..

most companies have a cheap 20-100$ start kit ..
containing boath veg. and bloom nutriens .. some also have root power (kelp/acid/vitimin B) and some also have bud booster (sugars) aso.

another thing I had great succes with .. is Super thrive .. cost a lot put go a long way .. and do wonders .. atlest do some reseaech on it ..

and also Molasses .. black strap .. for flowering .. boath provide carps for the micro life in the soil and trace elements like MG/Ca Iron aso.

I know this might be to mouch info to early .. so best advice for you is actualy to keep doing a lot of research and reading and keep asking questions like you just did

nomather what you have .. a PC case or a big barn ..

you will need all the basics .. just diffrent size ..

in a PC I would install a big PC fan to pull air out the back/top and a few holes (twise as big/many) in the bottom .. and a small clip on fan inside ..
I would cover it completly with maylor and mount 3-4 Y-splits with 6-8 23W bulbs in 2700/5000/6500 Kelvin and grow 2 autos in 1 gallon coco useing GH basic two part hydro/coco nutriens (also ther micro tho .. Lucas Fomular)

and then hope to pull 1 oz per plant evry 60 days ..

maybe make room inside for 2 small cups .. to start new once a week or two before haverst to cut grow time even more between haversting ..
