Youbetcha!!!! best to plant out the tall lanky month old plants after the last frost, in the meantime keep them inside under 2700k cfls or a mid range hps, what does annihilate plants, is rippers expect a shit load this year, mostly outtastate!

I feel like it is just to risky to bet that it wont hail even once all summer..... if I were there I would just do massive greenhouse crops. outta state rippers is the game you are calling eh? rippers are always an issue, I have full on security systems in place and I still worry.

Would a farmer not plant his cash crop due to a hail storm that may or may not happen??? This is a silly thought IMO

Its not a silly thought. Its called forethought..... a comment with no intention other than to degrade another's is quite helpful also.

late freezing, hail and a couple other reasons are why I have encouraged friends in CO to go greenhouse not naked outdoor. anyone else have anything meaningful or helpful to add its much encouraged.

Shoot your plants with a 12 gauge shotgun and that will give you an idea of what hail will do.

I live near A tulip farm and they have a sonic cannon for that shit.
When you get near the place its louder than shit.
Not practicle for the home grower.
But you could always plant near someone that uses one.
Like perhaps. A tulip farm??

Any info I give is based on what I would be comfortable doing.
Please get other opinions.

In nature plants don't live in plastic buckets but at my house they do or they get the f**k out.
