Ok so will outdoor plants become rootbound, like i know that you dig a hole then fill it with better soil, but if you dont dig a deep deep hole will the roots not spread out and go threw the natural soil at the bottom of the hole and sides,When the plant is mature and strong?

I'm thinking that if you dig a good hole to start the plant off for awile and then when the plants roots are strong and go deeper and when you water you do a deep watering so that all the surrounding natural soil is most the roots will grow into it.

lets here some replies!

you wont get rootbound plants unless they are in pots.
outdoors roobound is not an issue and nothing to worry about.

you get rootbound plants from the roots not having enough room. how does the plants and grass around your plant grow roots in the soil? it has no effect unless its in a pot or bucket

the roots will continue to penetrate the soil when planting outdoors regardless of the size of hole you digg.
