so i was given t plants by my friend because he said he didn't have time to take care of them. i'm not sure how old they are i'm assuming they are a few weeks and old and i'm not sure what strain it is... also he planted to plants in one small bucket and i was going to separate them but i was told that the roots are to inter-mingled together, so i was thinking of getting one big pot and leaving them as is... (btw this is an outdoor plant) this is my first time growing, i wanted to start out small and i would love any advise or tips and tricks from anyone. thanks for your time! if you would like some pictures i would be happy to provide!

have you got any pics, pictures can help us help you quicker

and welcome to RIU dude take a seat and smoke a joint your in for the long haul :)

You can take them out and if you have to cut them apart, might stress them a little and possibly shock them but usually you'll be fine

I had a pair of white rhinos that grew to close. I left them alone and they topped out at 2' and 3'. I also had another white rhino growing in it's own square foot of soil, it grew to be about 5'. You couldn't tell the difference once it was dried and smoked, but yield was noticeably affected. If you decide to pull them apart, you just tap on the dirt and let the soil fall off. Gently tease the roots. You don't have to worry to much about the small little roots, it's mostly the tap root (center long root) that you want to avoid touching. When you go to tease them apart and you see that they are indeed really wrapped around each other, just play it safe and put it back into a 5 gal container.

White Rhino grows small just because of its pheno, but if your growing something like big bud I wouldn't even worry about it. I know you said you don't know the strain, but you can get a clue of the genetics by the way the leaves are. If they are skinny and long, it will be a taller plant (sativa dominate), where as short-fat leaves gives you a smaller plant (indica dominant)

Ahh, the photos help. They're indicas and not very branchy at that. Umm. They might grow a little taller, but I wouldn't expect to much. If you can, clone them.
