just wondering about medical marijuana dispensers in Canada if anyone can answer some of the questions for me that would be awesome

1> Do they charge for the herb?
2> If yes to #1 do they charge the same as say a guy on the street?
3> Can they allow smoking on site?
4> Do they also provide smoking accessories bong/pipes/papers/ect
5> would they get discounts from growers?
6> If a licensed grower is on staff / owner could they grow on site?

thanks in advance

1) Yes, though some places have more compassionately priced flowers.
2) Most are comparable to street prices
3) Some sites allow medicating on-site.
5) Some places provide cleaned community pipes/vaporizers.
5) Discounts are at the discretion of growers and collectives
6) Any Prop 215 patient can sell flowers/clones/etc to the collectives. Growing on site in the form of clones, or mother plants is acceptable.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info I am looking into the possibility of opening up a despensory I would like to essentially work as non-profit which is why I want to grow on site using "expert" growers to provide free / low cost (well below street value) weed to medical users I have been looking to open a non-profit subsidiary for a while now for the simple fact that everyone loves tax breaks and this seems to be an area that is under served

Hit me up when you begin planning to do this. Growing behind the protection of patient recommendations is an excellent way to provide clones, mothers, and sell flowers, hashes, etc as very low prices.

I will I am looking into the proper permits now and preparing to pitch this to my partners hopefully they accept it (I am the only smoker out of the 3 of us witch to me poses the only problem)

this sounds like a great idea you would have the initial start up cost which wouldnt be cheap but u could get some1 to sponser you should ask rollitup...lol

the money is not a problem in the slightest and the entire thing will be a subsidiary to my company and pretty much used to gain tax breaks well at the same time providing a service that is by the looks of it is needed a lot

We have been looking into non-profit since the last tax season when we got screwed royally

Ok after pitching it and arguing with them a bit I finally got them to see the benefit and we are going to begin applying for the proper licenses very shortly

this is the basic outline for it

It will be based on a membership payment you will pay a flat monthly fee, the monthly fee gives you access to a set weight of any strain currently in stock for example - you buy a membership for $200 / month and that gives you access to 4 ounces of any strain stocked this is not the set prices and will only be determined once we get an average of how much our members are using per month, tho it will be well well below street value

since some will need more then the allotted amount we will also have the option to buy more using the formula membership cost divided by total ounces allowed plus a flat overcharge fee something small like $10 to set the value of ounces (then divide as needed for smaller amounts)

We will have on site growing both for use in the despensory as well as mothers / clones in different stages of growth for those who would like to grow their own

We will have an on site comercial kitchen for making food as we know not everyone wants to smoke, foods will be avalible using the weight of weed use aginst the allowed monthly limit at no extra charge

Also we will have local delivery at no extra charge becuase we understand that not everyone is healty enough to make it in when they are in need

We will not allow medicating on site (which is a point I fought very hard for and lost) tho this could change before we open

Any comments suggestions from medical users of what they like / dislike would like to see added? We want this to be a place unlike everywhere else.

Somewhere between your posts and my replies I forgot this was in Canada...

Those are the California dispensary laws.

A fee-based membership probably wont do too well because a lot of people dont consume 4 ounces of flowers a month.

Be careful.

Yes we will be very careful everything is going to done strictly by the books the 4 ounces and membership prices stated above are just used as examples like I said we will be talking to a number of medical users to see what kinda weights they consume per month also maybe diffrent levels of membership???
