Questions about h202 for bubbler res

Hey guys,bout to start a dwc 4 bucket setup, Im going to use Advanced Nutrients sensi gro-sensi bloom 2 parters and some b52 and bud candy. but my question is about using h202, I know it can help with airating the roots, and with root health alltogether. but what specific h202 product should i use, any specific brand or type,
also any tips on increments to use in my resevoir?
any tips would be greatly apreciated guys. thanks.

the H202 i would get if i were you is 29% from a garden store and add 7ML per gal every 3 days

cool, now im gonna be changing my res every 5 days, would you say i should ad 7 ml when i change res, or every three days?

well if it every 5 days i would just do it during res change I dont think a day would hurt or benafit much

Per the MSDS on H2O2 ((http://purehealthsystems.com/h2o2-msds.html)) it can take between 8 hrs and 20 days for Hydrogen Peroxide to break down into H2O and O (both which can be used by a hydroponic system). What is the active ingredient in DM Zone, and what is it's half-life?

I'm not trying to bust your chops, I just try to make as informed of decisions as possible and I don't know anything about Zone.

before you tell a person to ditch something that we all know works!! and offer a new product with no info on it or any
first hand knoledge that can be proved. and H202 has a great record with members of all comunities.
also the fact that it only last 24 hour maybe more is why I use it.

i'm not saying it doesn't work, i used to use H2O2 also. but i noticed it had a hard time fighting off brown algae in my system. even running at 3mL/gal @ 30% H2O2 it kept my brown algae under control, but never got rid of it and my water would always smell like a fish tank after a week. and no i have no light leaks. after not finding any help on the forum, i went to THCF and was surprised by how many people ditched H2O2 and went to DM Zone. so i bought a bottle and i haven't seen any brown algae return- also my water smells the same since the day i mixed the nutrients in. \

here are pics of other peoples roots w/ just A + B nutes and Zone:

sweet now that what im talking about!! info with pics. gives peeps a reason to check into this product. now im using 29% h202 7ML a gal and my roots
are jet white. yours are good looking but your nutes might dye them that. either way il read into zone stuff not saying im going to use it just research it

Dutch Master Zone is a great product for sterilization. It's safe for plants even at high doses, and very effective on everything from disease to bugs to algea, except of course for brown slime algae. It will do a good job of preventing brown slime algae, but it will not cure it once it has set in. According to emails from the company, Zone has an indefinite shelf life.

I think the question is why do you want to run h202? Your nutes use chelating agents, and h202 will strip them away. Your nutes are also intended to be used with microbes. H202 or Zone will make your res sterile. Your nutes contain organic components... those components will never get broken down and available for roots without microbes.

From the AN website:

So one of the main benefits of Bud Candy is that it stimulates microlife, microlife which you intend to kill.
If you want a sterile res you should chose nutes intended to be used in such a way, like Dutch Master. If you want to stick with your nutes, then you should add beneficial microbes to you nutrient solution, which will itself keep your roots pristine white and disease free.

I use Advanced and I skip the voodoo as im using bleach and h202 and thing look great and my root are almost as whit a paper, I would use all the bennys
if i was in soil but I dont want nothing living in my res

I would skip the voodoo juice too. It's extremely overpriced and of questionable quality. The soluble mycogrow powder from fungi.com is $6/oz and much more diverse.

White roots are not necessarily the point of microbes. As I said, organic material can not be absorbed by roots, ever. It must first be broken down by microbes. AN doesn't seem to use 100% organic material, but the advertisements state it contains some organic components and are intended to be ran with microbes. If you are not using microbes, those componets never become available to plants. So you are not getting the most out of your particular nutes.

There is nothing wrong with beneficial microbes living in your res, in fact there are many benefits. (although those benefits are not the same that you get when in soil) In the long run it's actually much much easier than keeping a sterile res. But if your preference is a sterile solution, then you would be better served using nutes intended for sterile conditions.

Commonly known as H2O2, is intended for cleaning equipment and treating well water only. Often, it is sold on the premises as "extra oxygen" for roots. H2O2 is a highly reactive molecule. It is an oxidizing agent that is unstable in solution and tends to rip away electrons from other sources such as living matter (including root cells, bacteria and your skin!!) and chelating agents as well as reacting with other organic matter. This is what makes it an effective "cleaning" agent. However, for this reason it is not recommended in root zones or nutrient solutions. Adding too much H2O2 can kill your plants by damaging the roots, and render 'Hydroponic Nutrient Solutions' less effective by breaking down chelating agents.

So in addition, the h202 is making your chelating agents far less effective, again causing you to not get the most out of your nutes. This article also suggests it can damage roots, but I seriously doubt you are adding that much so that paticular point is probably not a concern.

yep im likeing the zone reviews but like hiesen said it wont completly kill off the brown shit living in the res, BUT I wonder what one if they both do
the samething but in there own way, what of the 2 are better H202 or zone. zones more costly but the amout used is less than H202 so theres
saving going the zone way any ideas?

I have, for a long time, used 1/3 cup of ordinary h202 3% in a res with 6 gal of water every day.

I know it does no harm, it costs 99 cents for 12 days worth, and I see no reason to stop. I've never had a root problem. I grow northern lights.
