Questions About EZ Clone

I'm considering using an EZ Clone w/ coco collars for my cuttings. Assuming it roots within 7-10 days, would I be able to put these directly into flowering if I'm growing a SOG or would I still need to veg longer?

Also, let's say I got the 16 site EZ Clone. Would I have to fill all 16 spots or could I go with fewer, like 8 for instance? I was thinking if I could space them out in a larger unit, I could then veg for a week or so after it roots and not worry about root tangles.

You can put a rooted clone in flower

You can put as few clones as you want in the cloner.

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. It's always nice to hear from someone who uses the device.

A weird thing with these units is that they eventually stop working.
It took 4 years but my homemade one died.

The plastic breaks down and gets porous and for some reason the water is not pleasing or something.

Purchased the ez unit and instantly
The problem disappeared

I only mention it because when it happens it freaks you out.

I did water samples and all that shit
Before I bought the new one so there is zero doubt in my mind that over time these things stop working

I have another question. The tent I'll be using has veg. and flowering chamber. The veg chamber is about 2 feet tall. The EZ Clone 16 is about 14 inches tall. How close to the light can the cuttings/clones be without being damaged? Would I be better off if I chose a light like an LED so that there isn't as much heat?

A fluorescent light about foot away would honestly work.

The tent and a bright light would possibly get this pump and water hot.

Clones don't smell so I put my cloner on the counter like this
And the water temp stays good.

That is Florescent bulb and works perfectly.
