I have a ghetto grow going for just personal smoke and its doing very well so far :eyesmoke:

but.... this morning i found a hermied one that had already released some pollen . I have a fan on them so im sure it got spread about :-(

question is ... at this point with still 2 or 3 weeks left to go ( maby more on a few ) what can i expect now ? Is my efforts ruined now ? Is it late enough in the game that i may still be alright ? I just dunno - this is the first time ones ever slipped through long enough to release pollen on me :wall:

yea...i yanked it immediately and got it out of the area ... just too little too late. It had the yellow pollen on two lower leaves : ( thnkx for the tip, I will watch em closely and hope to catch any pods ... I still cant believe i missed it .. wow

Another question ... this was just a mix of bagseed with the idea of keeping a few of the best ones for cloning . If any got fertilized - would this change the sex of the plant ? or just mess the buds up ? still good momma material ?? ... im just not sure...in all my years I've nvr let one slip through before - so this is new ground for me....... and a good lesson on keeping a closer eye on em : )

fertilizer does not change the sex of the plant.

ok.... guess i should have said pollinated ... but good info the same .... I just meant if pollinated and then harvested ... will the next round be seeded or remain good momma material for cloning ( not sure which yet - may just re-veg and grow bigger ) .. after a little thought I believe that only the pollinated buds would be affected and the basic plant would remain female and still usable .. i'm assuming ... just looking for conformation i guess . I appreciate the input : )

If a female gets pollinated then she is in flowering stage. (12/12) It is best to take clones off a plant in veg.
You could take that female, change the lighting to 18/6 and in a month or so she should revert back to veg state and could be a mother plant.

Dont know why you would wanna do that though. You had a test run, now get some good genetics.

If a ball pops again, shower your girls immediately with water. the pollen can be washed off if you catch it quick enough.

both good advise .. wish i woulda thought to wash it off .. got a new strand of seedstock to try now lol

as for good genetics .. im just too damned paranoid to order any . I been working through the best of the rest with bagseed so long now that i have managed to get a few good strains .. but god only knows whats in them . mostly indica looking strands with some sativa showing up here and there .
