you can get them in like 2 or 3 packs at walmart for like 3-8 bucks a bulb depending on the wattage (get at least 26 watt ones). The cool spectrum ones are best for veg'ing and the warm are better for flowering but you can always get some of both to be closer to a full spectrum of light. And yeah they do fit in regular sockets, you can get y-splitters at lowe's/home depot if you want to put two lights in one socket. Peace

oh ok sweet.. ill just get some of those sometime then.. If i do plant, and ever make it to flowering... how exactly important is it to keep all light off them for 12/12? Also how important are nutes?

it is pretty important.. in the vegetative stage it doesnt matter as much (it will just stress the plant) but in flower, the plant will get confused and blahblah i forget what happens but um.. its bad ha. youll want your grow room completly light proof. If youre using decent soil, nutes arent exactly necessary, you can definately get away with not using them during veg'. But i would say.. if you make it to flowering, pick up some nutes. (ps dont buy miracle grow soil).

you could get some pro-mix or something, and mix it with like 30% perlite. Miracle grow is bad bc it already has nutes in it and leads to over nutrient problems a lot. If you can find a hydroponics store around you, fox farm ocean forest soil is pretty good. I would suggest reading the grow faq's it'll help with a lot of your questions. Good luck:joint:

ive gone to the grow faqs too many times to count... its just i want more input. Especially wanting to know if it will even be worth to plant. what about with some normal bagged up soil? And some perlite because i have a huge bag of it.

if you start with soil from outside youll probably want to add some peat moss and probably some dolomite lime. (check the ph)
