question on watering root riot plugs when cloning

Hello all, I am going to try some root riot plugs for cloning and wanted to know how to keep them moist, I am assuming that you just want to keep them moist not too wet but need info on how to go about watering them? Do you just water from the bottom or do you top water or use a squirt bottle to moisten from the top? Should you keep water in the bottom pan? Thanks again for all your help.

I use rapid rooters, same thing. I keep them wet, not wrung out but soaked. Easiest way is to keep a little water in the bottom of the tray and a well sealed dome. You should see condensation in the dome.

Water in the bottom of tray, if and when it's gone let them dry out a little. Should be roots by the time they start to dry on the tops.

I recommend using them in rapid rooter trays or nursery flat starter cells. This protects the sides and bottom from drying out before it's noticed.

Spray bottle is what I use to.
I soak them and spray the leaf and the lid of the dome, closed vent. Then spray the leaves every day a few days then just keep the dome moist. Theres no roots so they uptake water from the leaf. Don't let the plug dry right out but it doesn't need to be soaking wet either.

Bit of a tip if you have trouble with them taking is cut them on a diagonal at a leaf join point. Its a growth point already.
