Ok guys I have a closet grow going. You can check out my grow journal for even more details.

I have about 18" height to grow under a 250W MH and HPS light. I have two fans and will do whatever it takes to manage temp including modifying the light ( I am pretty handy). It is an aeroponic setup with Advanced Nutes GrowMicroBloom system.

My question is how large should I let my plants go in veg until I switch, I imagine I am going to be pushing them a bit faster than normal I tried to pick some short strains.

I will be starting with Powerskunk since I got a bunch of them free. I will then be moving onto White Widow both are fem.

I also have White Berry, G13/Haze, and Blue Cheese....

Any help would be great...

I think you need more height for that light unless you plan on growing horizontally. If you had a little more height it would be exponentially better.

is that height to the bottom of the light? or is it to the max height of the plants? just imagine that your plants usually double in size and mabye even more depending on strain. you might want to look into flowering from seed in the FAQ otherwise like Sure Shot said you might want to got horizontal or look into getting a lil more head room. good luck

It is just over 22" to the light...I figured a way to prop the light to the top of my tent for the end of my grow. Perhaps using a sort of cooltube at the end will allow me to get up close to the light without negative effects?

Do you have a link for that file in the FAQ I took a look and did not see it...Flowering from seed...

I might also try some dwarf strains after I try these strains out..
