Question on lollipoping?

When is the best time to cut the lower leaves off so it does not stunt the growth of the plant so much? Also is that the same time you would use the 'FIM" technique?

Does this also prolong flowering by any?
No, certainly not when you do it during vegging (including first 2 weeks of 12/12). Redirecting the energy towards the top during vegging seems to even out any stunting as well (obviously depending on how far you go) - but I think way too many people worry about "stunting" their plants, just don't spread it out over multiple days.

Just don't spread it over a couple days?

I find it better to LST them so that the light reaches the main sites. Also alot of ppl say that having more leaves helps the plant in the late stages.

I trim about a third off the bottoms. At the same time I take clones. Usually a week before I switch them to flower.

Having lots of leaves is what we are aiming to do...the leaves produce the buds....period

I lollipop branches only half way up the main stem. I dont cut off the fan leaves, just the branches. I do it when im transplanting from grow/clone area to flowering. And usually again at about week 2 if some new branches tried to pop out during the 2 weeks.. I never cut off fan leaves unless they look ugly.
