Question-germination problems

I have a question in the hopes Al or Sparkafire or someone with finely tuned "growdar" is out there.

I have new batch of parents I just started from seed for my hydro op. All 36 beans sprouted in no time per-germing them in paper towels. When most sprouts (31 or 32/36) were showing a cm or so in growth I moved them to starter plugs and set them off to the edge of my top drip area to acclamate them to the 1kw light. The four or five seeds with the least development from pre-germ have pretty much stunted and are now sitting idle while the others are all pushing first true leaves and looking good. What can I do about preventing this from happening again. Conditions are good, not overwatered, (No excessive stretch this time Al) good ph (5.8), yada ,yada. I pregermed this batch since my last batch did the same thing with a direct sowing into the plugs (just a couple petered out in the 11th hour). Again it is only 4 or 5 out of 36 but my success rate is like 86-89% when there should not be any probs. Could it be genetics? Over-tired, inbred breeding strains or worn out F1's?? Also in regards to the genetics-I have started 84 parent plants from the same breeder and have 2 out of the 84 have had triple-leaf sets of growth-(like a siamese twin)the first of this nature is now producing double sets of growth from ONE main branch its quite the mutant.

Any input is greatly appreciated

Well thanks for putting me into even the same sentence as ABF but I am no expert. Lets wait until i get my first grow cut and dried.

I have no idea about tired F1's mutant seeds or anything like that. All i can tell you is how i have done my one set of seeds.

Paper towel, moist, warm, dark and when the seed cracks i put them into pre soaked RW and into the dark under a dome.
When they emerged from the RW i put them out under light and hand watered lightly until a second set of leaves then watering with a very weak nute solution. Once roots started to show i moved into bigger RW and started the nute cycle.

Out of 10 seeds i got 7 to sprout 70% , I really don't know the average germ rate but i would expect it fluctuates from grower to grower and where they got their seeds and how they germinated them.

As i always say on this site there are many ways to skin the cat its just a matter of how you want to do it.
