The formula that GH suggests is generic for a wide variety of uses.

What I like to do is use their suggested 3-2-1 formula for vegetative stage. If you want less root growth during vegetative you can do 3-2-.5.

For the flowering phase I like to use the Lucas formula. The Lucas Formula uses only the micro and bloom parts of the three part formula at a ratio of one part micro and two parts bloom, or 0-1-2. GH suggested ratio is 1-2-3 for bloom'

Read the whole thread if you have time, Lucas answers every possible question about fertilizing there is. He is an expert and THE guy for fertilizer in hydroponics with MJ. I refer back to it all the time.

ya im definitely going to take the time to read it all. I love the technically precise threads. You know, it seems to me that there is an art and a science to growing bud...I'm not much of an artist, so I have to rely on my technical aptitude if I'm going to make a success of this.
