question about seed pods in AeroGarden

ok i was wondering does anyone know what the medium is called that the seeds come in ? is it coco peat? and also does anyone just use rockwool instead of the ag pods ? or anything else ?
 
Use the rapid rooter looking things,i used RW and it ketp it too saturated,stem rot formed,youll notice if white shit starts growing on the stem.Itll eat through it.Use the plugs,they are best for the AG.

scrape it off if you can, and make sure the pods aren't exposed to light. You're using those little paper covers, aren't you?
If not, get em on there...
