Question about plant stucture and buds

If I just let my plant grow wild and dont touch it, how many colas/buds will it have? can i get more buds if I top it? does the size of the plant determine the number of buds? and will more buds make all the buds smaller?

if you let your plant go wild you will have a bunch of budsites but only one main cola, you can make it have more than one main cola if you top it, but for a plant that size you need to be able to properly light it or the buds will be small. if you check my journal you'll see that my two plants under floros have (small buds) by comparison to having an hid light., under the proper lighting those buds would be twice that size easy.

you won't get more buds topping outdoors.... topping is to create a plant with two main colas and to keep the plant tops in the light, when you first top, the side branches will shoot out further because more energy is going to them instead of the main stem, because it is no longer there. because sunlight can penitrate the leaves of a plant 75%-80% better than hid lighting there is no real reason to top outdoors (in my opinion). in the end your just stressin her out for a few days. your main cola will be huge and the main side buds are usualy the size of colas on indoor plants. this is from personal experience.

the only reasons i ever grow inside is for the winter, safty or control. i wish all my grows could be outside.
