question about outdoor growing

my first year growing outdoor...i snipped some buds off the other day.... and was wondering seeing as i've never done this before...is it gonna smell green untill its completely dried...or did i snip to early...most of the hairs were brown..and curled down.. the thc level is high..sorry if its a dumb question..but im curious

well you gotta trim off the fan leaves
then hang the buds up sidedown in a cool dark place for a week or so

like a closet?... i had them hangin for a couple days.. the stems just bendable but the buds gettin a light crisp...i chopped the fan leaves before i hung em

good now stick em in an airtight jar and periodically open the jar... once or twice a day should be good and rotate the bugs in the jar. do this for a week then enjoy
