Question about new dealer

I found a new dealer, my old dealer used to weigh an ounce out for me. But I had him known him since like 3rd grade.

This guy, I don't really know him. Iwant to cop an ounce, but I don't want to get ripped off. Should I ask him to weigh it out

Or is that a bit disrespectful?

a good way to be slick is just ask to borrow his scale so you can weigh a bag out that your going to sell or when he gives it to you say hey can i use the scale to weigh up a half or something like that
