When I moved my plant from upper to lower chamber I had to take my plant about 3 weeks from seed (4"tall) and put it into a bigger net cup. Well I put the single root which is about 6" long basically sitting under the grow cube. Should I have tried to pull the root through the new net cup so they were instantly in the water instead of sitting under the grow cube ??

Ar you running deep water culture?if so yes pull the root through the net cup.
if aeroponics,your res souls not be that full that your roots are punching the water.
if your working with ebb and flow....let the root get down.
otherwise read couple good books to get on track.
im drunk right now from a ridicules amount of Bombay sapphire.

Leave it alone. No more stress is best. The roots are already out and in a couple of days they will be long.
Ok thanks. So all I did was slow it down for a day or 2 then right ????? So far no heat issues to plant that's my main problem and growing to close to light. Any plant over 34" and I am out of space, will be topping this plant soon. Probally when it has 4 true sets of leaves if I can figure out what that is ??

You have no problems.
When I transfer a girl to a larger net pot, I put a single layer of hydroton in the bottom of the pot, then I spiral the roots around the pot as I add more hydroton. Then I put the water level so it touches the bottom of the net pot, as the roots grow, I drop the water level. Too easy.
Imo, pulling roots through the mesh in the net pots increases the risk of damage to an unacceptable (to me) level.

Here is my thing- Im growing six plants in a big rubbermaid container and putting net pots in holes i cut in the container cover. My problem is, in order to get the roots to water level, i have to put near 20 gallons of water in the container. I dont know about you but that makes cleaning and refilling a pain in the ass and it wastes alot more nutes. I use ten gallons every time and run a rip system to all the plants so they get watered. When the roots get long enough then you can eliminate the drip system.
Do plants grow faster when roots are submerged into water opposed to barely out of the net cups ??

Plants will grow in proportion to roots. Strong healthy roots = strong healthy plants.
SUperstoner its gonna be interesting what I get for yield growing outside greenhouse great white shark fem when I vegged it inside for a month, then took it outside. Last year I had Pineapple chunk outside in a pot that was only about 10" deep. THis year I dug about 1.5 feet deep and wide, cut down a tree to get more sunlight (now up to 4 hours a day)... Thinking I should get an oz off this because of poor sunlight.
