i would say neither. go to lowes or wally and get a four pack of the cfl's that you have now. for flower, either add more, or get a hps.

I agree. Stick with CFL's until you can save up some money for a HPS with an enhanced spectrum bulb that covers vegging as well. MH will not get you through flowering.

hahah not threw flowering...mh works fine if you want you can get an inhaced bulb to cover flowering..personally i hate cfl's....but you should save up for at least a 400-600 watt mh....unless you need to do stelth then go with whatever suits your need best...

alright thanks, i have the money for hps but this being basically my first grow i'd much rather gain experience growing with the cfl's while saving money.

mh will cause less stretch, but also less yield. however, you'll still get goo rewards with a mh in flower, along with super dense buds. if you have the choice of one or the other, get a hps. you can take out the ignitor (often located inside the hood) and use an ordinary mh bulb; the only difference between mh and hps is that lil ignitor ;)
