Question about growing under a 500watt halogen light

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HVAE A DECENT GROW USING A 500 WATT HALOGEN LIGHT? WAT ARE THE PRO AND CONS? I JUS REALLY WANA KNOW IF I WILL BE ABLE TO HARVEST ANYTHING. ITS THE ONLY LIGHT I HVAE FOR NOW SO ANY EXPERINCED GROWERS WITH SUGGESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW..THNX

I think a halogen is the wrong light spectrem. It will just get damm hot.

You dont use halogen lights..they would fry your plants

Yeah Ive seen this question asked before... but no a halogen wont work...

The halogen spectrum shows that there is more intensity at around 650nm to about 950 nm. This shows that there is more concentration of red light

A HPS bulb hits between 550nm and the lower 600's... sooo a halogen is just out of the useful spectrum... but hell you can try it if you like...

I grew a huge salvia plant under just halogen, i was hot and energy drinking but hey it might work just REALLLLY inefficiently
