ive been having my lights on my plant for 24 hours a day. im wanting to drop it down to 20-4 since i think its causing my leaves to curl upward on the edges.

im not really sure how to use this timer, its a sunlite timer and on the instructions it speaks of pushing down the joint slices.

i have no idea what this could be,

i just dont get what i have to do to get this setup

in search of quick input, thanks.

i'm not sure if the 24/0 is your problem. Many people use this method including myself. However if you had a pic of your timer we might be able to help a bit better.
Are there any pegs you put in? I've only dealt with digital timers and those circle ones you put pegs in where you want it to stop and start..

i got this analog timer too. my setup is 18/6 .
this what i did. my timer goes from 1 -24, so i push down 18 of them black sticks around the timer for 18 hours of light, BUT i also had problems with that shit cause the timer switch on/off was misleading.
one Icon shows a clock and the other shows a ...um ..bulb i think. the switch should be set so the clock icon SHOWS and the bulb icon doesnt. i did it backwards so the timer just kept going and going. so if you have the same timer as me, try pushing down the sticks from for example 1 to 20 and let the rest of them sticks stay as they are. then push the switch and make sure the clock icon shows

your problem isnt to much light...its to much heat.
if the leaves are curling there not enough air movement, this is a stress factor

they are transpiring water to keep cool....if you can lower the temp it will fix the leaf curling

as for you timer.....look it up online, theres got to be some info on here about all kinds of timers.

sorry i cant help with the timer issue...i have yet to get one of my own.
