Question about decarboxlation ?

hello everyone I've been gone for a minute but I'm back and have question about the bud/trim before the baking/carboxylation process
Is it better to bust/grind product to dust/powder/crystals as much as you can not only for better decarboxlation but also to fit more product on baking sheet at a time ?
Or is it better to just lightly bust up product if barley at all to make sure it doesn't decarboxlate or heat up internally to fast ?

I don't grind the flowers before I decarb. It tends to add more chlorophyll flavor when I make my CCO.
