question about cuttings

noob question, but this is my first time taking cuttings ive only grown from seed.

my clones are 8 days old and none of them are showing roots out of the rockwool cubes

but i noticed when i remove my humidity dome that some of the cuttings will wilt and bend over, but a few of them stand up straight and seem to be fine without the dome.

should i remove these cuttings that seem to be fine without the dome, or should i just leave them in there until they show roots? its like 60% RH without the dome, and 90% RH with

I would leave the dome on until they show roots out of the bottom of the cube. you don't really know what's going on in there so wait to be sure. with 2" cubes i noticed roots at about week 3. i used rooting gel. cuttings in just water and no cubes are easier to identify so i started doing that.

how did you cut the clones? 45 degrees with sharp scissors? did you scrape the stem or apply rooting gel?

same thing I do just throw them in a solo cup with water, how I've always done it.

yeah you're probably right. i'm just being impatient as usual.

yeah i did 45 degree angle, didn't really scrape just quick dip in rooting gel and into the 1.5" rockwool cubes which i soaked for 10 sec. tried a few different methods actually, some in plain pH water, some with nutes, ect. also put a few clones straight into coco to try that out. they all look fine just no roots yet,

same thing I do just throw them in a solo cup with water, how I've always done it.
noted. ill try this next time. good to learn new things.

it is likely that the ones that are good without the dome have mini roots and the ones that are drooping don't
thats kind of what i was thinking, but like you said i'll just leave em in the dome for now.

thank you guys for the responses.
